Full Moon (July 2014)

Tonight is the Full Moon and it's suppose to be a Super Moon. While I'm a fan of huge moons, I really believe that this moon is going to be just like all the others. The reason for this is that we were all told about the special 'moon' a couple of months ago. All blood red and everything. Well we got a white moon, nothing special happened.

That really made me feel disappointed but it also instilled me into this belief about why people get all excited, upset, about these moons. Moons, no matter who you are, play a very important role in the here and now. The Full Moon enabled hunters to hunt for food and the moon is important in Jewish tradition as the Sabbath falls on the Full Moon on Friday night. In ancient times the night was considered the beginning of the day and the daytime coming to a close was considered the end of the day.

The Jewish calender uses the moon to determine when a year begins. Christians, even though they are against moon worship, use the moon to determine when events in the Bible are going to happen. They look up to the moon as a sign of what will be happening. As a Celtic Pagan I look at the moon as separate from Celtic worship. There were no moon goddess in Celtic paganism and that was only introduced when the Romans came. I will honor the moon for the reasons that people in Africa look, and honor, the moon.

As an easy way to illuminate the darkness and help us all survive. Have a good Full Moon.

One Of The Problems Of Any Path

One of the things that I've discovered about any path is the one main problem. Now it's not always the same problem but it's the main problem. In neo-pagan form of a path it's expensive supplies and in recon path, it's trying to practice a path that sometimes has huge holes in it or has too much information. One side attacks the other and it creates a whole new set of problems. That's one of the reasons that I'm not a fan of the recon path, but I won't attack those that find beauty in it.

I use to be a Celtic recon, until I discovered that the recons in that path love to attack those that don't follow how they think a person should practice. When you claim to be a Druid, no matter how long you've been practicing, there will be others that will say that what your doing isn't how 'real' druids practiced. The dogma and the attack by others is almost enough to make someone walk away from religion. I follow my own path, I don't care what others think, and I don't have to defend myself from anyone.

I glare at those that attack me, others, and so on. And, in the end, it will be those that push the gods forward that will benefit from their grace, presence, and beauty.

Welcome To My Blog

Since this is my first post, I would like to welcome everyone that comes and enjoys what I'm writing. This blog is a continuing of a blog that I started on blog.com but had gotten deleted two months ago. In this blog I'm going to be talking about the gods, my path, the different festivals, and even recipes. I think that blog writing is important as it helps those understand who you are and what you believe. I hope that you enjoy your time here.
